How to delete my account

If you want to stop using Leave Dates, you can delete your individual account by following the steps below. To do this, you’ll need to be able to access and sign in to your account. Deleting your account simply removes your login access, notifications and any profile details you have added; it doesn’t delete your employee leave record, this remains part of the company system.

If you are the company admin and have an active paid subscription, it must be canceled (or moved to another user) before you delete your account. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription. You will also need to make sure you assign a new company admin before deleting your account.

Important Considerations

Impact Within a Company Account

Step 1: Access Your Profile Page

Navigate to Settings > Profile to open your account details.

Step 2: Locate the Delete Option

  • Scroll through your Profile page.
  • Click the “Delete account” button.

Step 3: Confirm Your Decision

  • To ensure this action is intentional, you will be asked to confirm the deletion.
  • Type your Account Name as prompted.
  • Submit the confirmation to proceed.

Once your account is deleted:

  • All data associated with your profile will be permanently removed.
  • You will be logged out immediately.
  • You will be unsubscribed from all mailing lists.
  • Your login cannot be restored. However, your employee record and leave history remain intact, so if needed, an administrator can re-invite you to create a new login connected to your previous leave records.

Important Considerations

  • Irreversible Action: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
  • Subscription Warning: Deleting your account does not cancel any active paid subscription. Be sure to cancel it or transfer it to another company admin beforehand.
  • Company Administration: If you are the only administrator for your company, the system will prevent you from deleting your user account. To continue, first assign administrator permissions to another user

Impact Within a Company Account:

  • Your employee records will still exist within the company system.
  • All associated leave allowances and overtime records will remain intact.
  • Your account will no longer be linked to an email address, and you will not be able to log in.

To fully remove an employee from the company:

  • If the employee record is no longer needed, a company administrator can go to Settings > Employees and archive the employee. Archiving is the recommended option because it preserves the employee's records and can be restored later if required.
