Notification settings
Under the Notification settings, you’ll see the following options:
- Receive email alerts for requests and approvals
- Receive email alerts for comments
- Receive daily summary report by email
- Receive weekly summary report by email
- Receive daily summary reports in Slack

Receive email alerts for requests and approvals
The “Receive email alerts for requests and approvals” option is turned on by default. When enabled, email notifications are sent instantly whenever leave requests are submitted, approved, declined, or updated.
This setting is useful if you want to stay informed about your own leave requests or, if you are an approver, your team’s requests in real time. If you prefer not to receive email notifications, you can disable this option at any time.
Please note that disabling this setting only turns off email notifications. If you have the Leave Dates mobile app installed, you may still receive push notifications on your device.

Receive email alerts for comments
The “Receive email alerts for comments” option is enabled by default. Keep this setting turned on to receive email notifications when comments are added to your leave requests (or your team’s requests if you’re an approver). You can disable it at any time.

Receive daily summary report by email
Turn on “Receive daily summary report by email” to get daily updates. Once it’s turned on, select the day and time you want to receive the emails.
Choose the days you would like to receive emails from the dropdown menu:
- Monday to Friday
- Everyday
- Sunday to Thursday
Select the time (in your timezone) you’d like the summary report to be sent.
You can adjust these settings at any time, and the changes take effect next time the report is sent.

After making your selections, click on the Save changes button to confirm.
If you make a mistake or change your mind, don’t worry — you can click Undo changes at any time to reset your selections.
Receive weekly summary report by email
Turn on “Receive weekly summary report by email” to start getting weekly reports sent to your inbox.
Once it’s turned on, a dropdown menu will appear where you can:
- Choose the day of the week you’d like to receive the report
- Select the time the email should be sent
You can update these settings at any time and your next weekly report will reflect these changes.

After making your selections, click on the Save changes button to confirm - or Undo changes to reset your selections back to how they were before.
What’s included in the email summary reports?
When setting up your daily or weekly email summary report, you can choose which departments should be included in the report. The options available depend on your user role and permissions.
Company options
You can choose from the following options:
- Whole Company – includes all departments
- Selected departments – includes only the departments you choose
- None – turns off the summary email report for this company

These settings can be updated at any time, and your next scheduled report will reflect the changes.
What information is in the report?
Each report includes:
- Leave requests or approvals
- Public holidays
- Birthdays and work anniversaries
The daily report provides this information for that day. The weekly report covers anything falling in the next full working week (including weekends) following the report date.
